Welcome to Nor Cal Dance Arts
At Nor Cal Dance Arts, we believe excellence is a journey. We encourage our dancers to set ambitious goals, knowing that through dedication and hard work, they will grow both as artists and as individuals. It is the connection between our dancers, families, and staff that makes our studio truly special. Our experienced faculty provides high-quality training in a supportive environment where dancers build confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love of dance.

Monthly Tuition
NCDA runs on an 11-month program from August to June. The monthly tuition rates listed for 2026-2027 reflect the total number of classes attended per week by all members of a single family (family friendly pricing) averaged over the eleven-month period. That way the monthly tuition is ALWAYS the same (from August through June) regardless of the number of classes in the month. The family account will be charged monthly tuition on the 1st of the month. There are no refunds for the current month’s tuition after the 1st of each month. Tuition is always due on the 1st day of each month. All payments are made through automatic withdrawal from your authorized credit card. If tuition is not paid by the 5th of the month, a $30 late fee will be applied.

Dropping a Class
Families are responsible to email the studio desk in order to officially withdraw from any class. Submitting this email is the only way to drop a class at NCDA. Verbal requests, calls, or texts, or not attending class will not be considered an official drop. Please note that the class may remain on your account until the last day of the calendar month. Completing the process ensures our team can update your dancer’s schedule accurately and prevent any future billing for the class. NCDA charges tuition on the 1st of each month. If the email is not received at minimum 24hrs before that time, tuition for the upcoming month will be charged.

Submitting Payment
Nor Cal Dance Arts accepts online and in studio payments by Credit/Debit card and checks. We currently do not accept cash for tuition. You may set up your account/payment through our online system or at the front desk. Tuition is always due on the 1st day of each month.
When signing up, recurring payment is automatically applied.

Class Sizes, Attendance, and Level Placement
Class sizes are intentionally planned to ensure each dancer receives quality instruction and individual attention. Placement in classes is based on age, experience, and skill level, and our faculty may recommend adjustments to ensure each dancer is training in the most appropriate environment for their growth and success.
Consistent attendance is essential for progress and development. Dancers are expected to arrive on time and ready to participate, as late arrivals can disrupt class flow and increase the risk of injury. Students arriving more than 15 minutes late may have their participation evaluated at the discretion of the instructor to ensure their safety and preparedness.

Restroom Assistance for Children
For the safety of our dancers, please note the following regarding restroom breaks:
Teachers, office staff, and TA’s can escort children to the restroom door and give verbal reminders (like washing hands). Teachers, office staff, and TA’s may help with clothing fasteners (button, snap, zipper, tights and leotards) if absolutely necessary. Staff cannot assist with toileting, wiping, or go inside a closed stall with a child. ( will prop door open to help with clothing ) If your child is not fully independent with restroom needs, we kindly ask that a parent/guardian remain nearby to assist if needed. Thank you for helping us keep all dancers safe, supported, and comfortable!

Class Observations
Parents are welcome to observe classes through the live camera TV feeds in the Lobby. To maintain that all dancers feel safe while learning; these live feeds should not be recorded by anyone at anytime. For the focus and safety of all students, parents are not permitted inside the studio classrooms during class time.
Our lobby and common areas are designed for dancers to rest, eat, complete homework, and prepare between classes. This helps maintain a focused, organized, and comfortable environment for all students.

Dancer Preparedness
Dancers are expected to arrive to class on time, properly dressed, and ready to participate. This includes having hair secured away from the face and wearing the appropriate attire and shoes for their class. Please ask or refer to the NCDA attire under class styles on our website.
Fitted dancewear is required so instructors can properly assess alignment and technique. Loose or baggy clothing is not permitted, with the exception of hip hop classes where appropriate attire may vary. Being dressed correctly also helps dancers mentally prepare and approach class with focus and professionalism.
Dancers should always bring the correct shoes for each class to ensure safety and full participation.

Make Up and Missed Classes
Make-up classes may be available on a limited and pre-approved basis. Due to the structure of our program, we do not offer credits or refunds for missed classes.
Waitlists
If a class is full, we encourage you to join the waitlist. Openings are offered as they become available in the order received.
Food
Food, drinks (besides water), or gum are not permitted in the dance studios. Water is always encouraged. Every dancer should have a water bottle with them at all times. Food and other drinks may be consumed in the Lobby area only.

Performance Company Commitment & Fees
Dancers selected for the Performance Company commit to the full season, including all required classes, rehearsals, competitions, conventions, and performances. By accepting placement, families agree to be financially responsible for season-related costs, including tuition, competition and convention fees, and costumes. These expenses are planned and committed in advance based on enrollment and participation. All fees are communicated prior to or at the time of commitment, and are non-refundable once the studio has committed or payment has been made to third-party vendors. Convention and competition scholarships or credits may only be reassigned at the discretion of Nor Cal Dance Arts directors after the completion of the current season. Full company guidelines and policies can be found in the performance company agreement.
